Lincoln Senior Prom 2021

A group of parents is working hard to plan a Prom! Please consider supporting this event. All Juniors and Seniors from Lincoln High School are invited to attend! We hope you can find a way to provide support! This is an important milestone for Juniors and Seniors and we are so happy to be able to organize a celebration after a challenging year. *please note that this event is not a Lincoln High School PTSA event, and is not sponsored in any way by Lincoln High School or San Jose Unified School District. Contact the event organizers for more information. 

The Community of Abraham Lincoln High School Invites the Graduating Senior Class of Lincoln High School 2021 and the Junior Class of 2022 to Maskarade Prom! Spread the word!

Thursday, June 3, 2021, 5-10pm Corinthian Grand Ballroom, 196 N 3rd Street, San Jose
Prom will be outside on the pool patio!
$75 per ticket includes admission, dancing, photo booth, heavy appetizers and bottomless sodas plus desserts
Payment options: Payment can be made via Venmo @lincolnprom2021 OR Cash Payments will be collected from noon-1 PM on Saturday, May 15 in front of LHS

Students who need help covering the cost of the ticket please reach out to our parent in charge at lhsprom21@gmail.com

Requirements: ALHS Seniors and Juniors only and COVID negative test within 72 hours of Prom or Proof of completed vaccination by May 20th, and a mask covering nose and mouth will be required of all attendees and volunteers.

How can you help? Many students will need help covering the cost as many of our families are struggling financially especially during this pandemic.  There is a gofundme campaign to help cover the costs of the venue, as well as to help offset some of the other costs, and to provide those students who need assistance the means to attend. Seniors! Bring your snacks, blankets and chairs to watch the sun go down with your
Class of 2021 classmates! 

Please consider attending this YWCA event, save the date and share the word!

Description: Parent Mindfulness Skills Workshop. These skills can be utilized both, inside or outside of class. In learning these skills, you can help families to collectively and independently learn skills to refocus, grounding exercise in the moment, and mindful minutes that can be inserted in daily life for a quick and efficient way to help students with being in the moment and reconnecting with class.

The 2021 Senior Scholarship application is now available. See the Scholarship page for more details on eligibility requirements and a link to the online application form.

 The next PTSA meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 25 at 7PM. The meeting will be held via videoconference — instructions were emailed to all members and everyone on the PTSA mailing list. If you did not receive the instructions or have questions please email lincolnhighschoolptsa@gmail.com.

At the March meeting elections will be held for the next school year PTSA board. At the last meeting on February 25th the PTSA Nominating Committee presented the following slate of candidates to the membership:

• Secretary – Christopher Russell
• Treasurer – Thomas Lawrence
• Auditor: Mozelle Da Costa Pinto
• Historian: Theresa Stenhouse

Additional candidates can still be nominated from the floor, and a vote will be taken to choose the final board members. There are also many other volunteer and committee opportunities available. Please attend the meeting to learn more.

Please join us for the next general membership meeting of the Lincoln Parent Teacher Student Association on Thursday November 12, 2020 at 7pm. The meeting will be online videoconference, phone call in option will be available as well. Anyone is welcome to attend, membership is encouraged but not required.

Details will be emailed out to everyone on the PTSA’s email list before the meeting. If you want to be on the PTSA’s email list, either become a member or send an email to lincolnhighschoolptsa@gmail.com with a request to join the email list (membership not required).
